Description

Ifytrofin-IT 200 is a potent antifungal medication that combines Itraconazole and Terbinafine to treat a wide range of fungal infections affecting the skin, nails, and hair. The combination works synergistically to stop the growth of fungi by damaging their cell membrane, effectively eliminating the infection and preventing recurrence.

Indications

• Dermatophytosis (ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch)

• Onychomycosis (fungal nail infection)

• Other superficial fungal infections of skin and nails

Mechanism of Action

• Itraconazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death.

• Terbinafine inhibits squalene epoxidase, resulting in fungal cell membrane disruption.
  Together, they provide a broad-spectrum antifungal effect.

Dosage & Administration

• Take as prescribed by the physician.

• Usually administered orally, with or after food.

• Complete the full course to ensure effective treatment.

Precautions

• Not recommended in patients with liver dysfunction.

• Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.
